Artistic Inspiration Collection XXXIII by MichaelBilyk, journal

Artist // Professional // Traditional Art
My Bio
V. V. Saichek, or Val, or V. V., has noodled around in the usual, unpaid, artistic way; sustaining herself as a grease-baby in a potato-chip factory, a Tarot card psychic of awesome powers, a Fortune 500 pseudo girl geek computer telemarketer (while barely able to turn on a PC,) and as a struggling artist and sometime illustrator whose edge was always a bit, um, “too edgy” for nice, paying publications. She made her living for the most part as a Jungian Psychotherapist.

So, much later, she segued into “That Writing Thing too, and managed to get a few writerly things published, then, got a drawing accepted in the upcoming 2014 issue of GUD Magazine to boot. Doesn't it just go to show. On the art end of things she's had numerous shows and loves making art mightily.

She hopes one day to be accepted into the sinusoid of several leading multiverses . . . and if possible, paying multiverses . . . what a concept.

A Warning from my friend Sairey13: Gotten information from *iZenaku and some other users. There is a hacker going around on DA and already hacked These pages =Renkat =Lalaloraa *ikozuma I could be the next, or you so be careful. The hacker does penis pictures around in the account page and writes in journals: "I hate you all, go die"  And he/she also remove all your watches.  If this happens to me, then you know that isn't me. I write this journal to warn everyone here. Write it yourself on your Page. I think the hackers will not have more fun with  hacking you if you and your watchers already know what could happen. Spread the word! I heard that there is a hacker going around on Da and hacking people. Apparently, there's a hacker going around and hacking into other people's accounts to block your friends so that your friends block you, get you in trouble, and could get you banned from DeviantART. If you get this warning, copy and paste this into your Journal and spread this to everyone. APPARENTLY THERE IS A HACKER ON DEVIANTART, CALLED 'LIFE OWNER'..... TELL EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST BECAUSE IF SOMEBODY ON YOUR LIST ADDS HIM THEN YOU WILL GET HIM ON YOUR LIST. HE WILL FIGURE OUT YOUR ID COMPUTER ADDRESS, SO COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE EVEN IF YOU DON'T CARE FOR THEM AND FAST BECAUSE IF HE HACKS THEIR EMAIL HE HACKS YOUR MAIL TOO (I think what it means by that is that he could assume the identity of your friends, and FOOL you into opening the letter since you think it's your friend that's sending it )!!... Anyone using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report' If you open either file, a message will appear on If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.' Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it . The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'.. PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS TO ALL Remember, always be careful of messages you receive in email-don't open them unless you're 100% POSITIVE they're safe. If you have even the SLIGHTEST doubt, DON'T open it-DELETE it, it's the smart thing to do! There is a hacker going around and this one is a bad one.... -.- if he hacks your account he will post pornagraphic pictures especially a male's nether regions. And he will delete all of your watchers and he will write a journal saying "I hate you all. Go die" please if something were to happen to me please understand that I got hacked. As you all know I would never go and tell all of you I hated you all. I love all of my friends to bits. Please spread this around because if he knows you know about him he might not hack you.  I'm not worried about this hacker but I'm his making sure I want to ensure my safety. And I want to make sure you guys are aware so I can save you guys from this as well

I was recently asked to give some pointers as to how to gather more Watchers and how to make a greater impact here on DevArt. So here goes. Well, to be honest, I was on DevArt for 14 years or so previously, never getting many more than a handful of faves and a few comments per work. I made some friends and pushed onward with no real effect. I then took a hiatus for a few years and when I came back, I had a much greater inner commitment to my work, and a greater interest in the work of others here. I discovered this. The more I put into responding sincerely to other's work, and with specific interest and frequent commentary, the more others responded in kind and watched me. I committed to a consistent and higher frequency of submitting my work here as well, trying for one solid new piece a week, which keeps interest up from my watchers and for myself. I commit to spending a couple of hours each week reviewing others work & finding new art to fave and watch. I watch far more people than watch me. I spend review time making sure I reach out and review work of those that Watch me, and then I attract many new artists to my feed due to my willingness to review. The algorithms keep track. I find I am often commenting on someone's first day here, which is really fun, to welcome them along. So, the answer I think is plain and common sense. Give out to others here consistently without thought of equal return. Make acquaintances. Maintain and refresh your connections. Keep in mind that few actually ever leave comments. You will realize as you do, how potent and appreciated these strokes are and that they are truly coveted. This effort is remembered. I have the advantage of loving art passionately in every format, and I love commenting about art at length, so for me it is a natural predilection. It is also effort put in, every day. When I received my Daily Deviation, it was partly due to my community outreach efforts, and for those Community Outreach Reps, that is a meaningful thing around here. So, there it is, my personal recipe for building community. Of course the better and the more you push your work beyond the average, the greater the interest and potential. And one final thing. We are mostly all here because we want to share what we do. The more personal commentary you can add to each work about yourself and how you do what you do, the more you will attract others curious, and willing to follow you and your journey. I find it takes a personal commitment to daily DevArt maintenance and to personal and professional striving to make a difference. PASSION, COUNTS. I hope this helps, good luck all, Val.

A PHILOSOPHIC APPROACH ... I was asked to explain my creative process or my musings on a favorite work in January. I chose: https://www.deviantart.com/metamage/art/83-DREAM-BLEED-finished-1010646225 This drawing represents a heightened comfort level I have regarding my pen and ink, "Thousand Line" drawing technique. It's a funny way to build an image, as if I am encircling the subject with a million wires that weave the person from the outside, in. It is as if I am building an ink armarure and soon I will be able to decant the soul and pour it in. This alchemical process of transmutation follows the physical pathways; weaving muscle and bone, mind and body, transforming them, within and without. I draw people who's expressive energy communicates, and that goes right into the drawing. This piece shows a woman with far-flung arms demonstrating abandon, and yet she is powerfully asleep. She is far, far away from human concerns; so far away no one can wake her. Held fast in dream's embrace she reaches out. She grasps her hair in consternation. It is this combination of contradictions I love in my subject matter. There is something bewitching about staring at people when they are asleep. We are conscious voyuers attempting to penetrate the secrets of the unknownwhich exists within every person and their dreams. I persue the beings I draw in fantasy, seeing if I can penetrate their secret lives. Look to the eyes, to the lips, to the tilt of the chin, and you will find extraordinary uniqueness; power and weakness side-by-side; the human condition trapped within the lines.
